The inquest opened this morning into the death of Victoria Taylor.
Miss Taylor, 34, went missing from her home in Norton, Malton, on Monday 30 September prompting a huge search operation.
Police recovered her body at 11.45am on 22 October in the River Derwent in Malton, close to where her belongings were recovered.
North Yorkshire and York area coroner Catherine Cundy opened the inquest in Northallerton this morning.
She recorded that Victoria Anne Taylor was born in Huddersfield and was living in Norton, Malton, at the time of her death.
She was single and worked as a nurse in a care home.

Ms Cundy said: “Miss Taylor was reported missing by her fiancé on 1 October.
“Extensive searches were carried out and sadly Miss Taylor’s body was recovered from the River Derwent in Malton on 22 October 2024.”
She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The provisional cause of death was drowning. Ms Cundy adjourned the inquest to a date to be fixed.
There were no interested parties in court.
A fund set up to support Victoria’s partner and little girl has raised £9,000.
