An injured woman was rescued from a ledge by North Yorkshire firefighters late last night (Saturday).
A fire crew from Malton were called to Castlegate in the town at 11.47pm, where a woman with a back injury was stuck on a ledge about two metres off the ground.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used a triple extension ladder, longboard, rope pack and a HGV platform to immobilise and transport the injured female to ground level.
“She was then left in the care of a family member awaiting the arrival of paramedics.”
