The most famous sidekick in pantomime will be back at Christmas.
Martin Barrass has moved to assure fans that he is returning alongside legendary dame Berwick Kaler at the Grand Opera House in December.
For decades Martin and Berwick have been a double act – first at York Theatre Royal and then the Opera House after they moved venue last year.
We revealed yesterday that Berwick was returning alongside other members of the panto gang, David Leonard and AJ Powell, in The Adventures Of Granny Goose.
No mention was made of Martin, although the producers did promise more cast announcements.
However, he jumped on a couple of Facebook posts about the show to reassure worried fans.
In one of his posts, Martin said: “I’m definitely definitely doing it! Worry not!
“I think there was a blip in the publicity dept methinks. Either that or they’ve never heard of me lol.
“See you at the Opera House for the grand launch on 13 April!”
There’s still no word on Suzy.
The Adventures Of Granny Goose at the Grand Opera House from 10 December to 8 January.
Tickets, starting at £13, go on sale next Wednesday, 13 April. Priority TheatreCard members can get theirs from Monday (11 April).
