A house fire near York last night left the property severely damaged.
Humberside Fire and Rescue Service were called out to the blaze at the house in Kexby at around 11.50pm on Thursday (9 July)
The fire began in a bedroom and spread to the rest of the property.
Four fire engines – two from Pocklington and two from Market Weighton – were sent to the scene.
The aerial ladder from Huntington Fire Station also attended, along with one from Hull.
No one was in the property at the time. An investigation is now underway into its cause.
