Updated: House fire near Selby – Road closed as crews tackle the blaze

Firefighters have been tackling a fire in a house near Selby.

Crews from Selby and Snaith were called to the blaze in the Carlton area.

Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two hose reels and positive pressure ventilation fan to bring it under control.

The fire was in an annex to property

Station manager Tony Walker said Hepworth’s Lane was closed for crew safety and asked for people to please avoid the area.
