Road users are stuck in serious congestion on the A64 in North Yorkshire today (Sunday).
Traffic has come to a standstill on the road around Malton.
It appears to be due to the number of people going to Bangers And Cash Live, based on the UKTV show. A road closure is also reported at the entrance to the show.
The event has been taking place all weekend at Scampston Hall, Malton. It caused slow traffic yesterday too.
One YorkMix listener said that they had not moved for half an hour due to the jams on the eastbound carriageway at the Scarborough side of the Malton bypass this morning.
Today the AA states: “Severe delays due to car auction at Scampston Hall on A64 both ways at Rillington. Holiday traffic.”
Bangers And Cash Live has two stages and giant screens, featuring music, displays and workshops.
A comment left on the Facebook page by an attendee at the event yesterday says: “Sort entrance out next time. Was horrendous both ways on the main road.”
Others suggested they had been sitting through six miles of jams.
