Fancy relaxing on this rooftop terrace?
Holidaymakers could soon be chilling on the terrace in York city centre.
It is included in plans to create 21 holiday apartments above what is now The Vintage Store.

The plans have been put forward by York developers Grantside and North Star. They bought the property in summer and said they had ambitious plans for the 15,530 sq ft building.
In August, The Vintage Store opened in the ground floor. That will be left as a retail space under the planning application submitted to City of York Council.
There are three connected blocks in the property. Block A faces Parliament Street. The middle building, Block B, was built in the 1800s and was once used as billiard rooms.
And Block C faces High Ousegate.
Tranquil environment
A new entrance would be created for the flats on Parliament Street.
“The external roof terrace, whilst providing benefits to circulation and the contextual setting, also offers shared outdoor amenity space to each of the holiday let apartments,” planning documents state.
“The space has been arranged to provide private and quiet seating areas in order to create a tranquil environment away from the crowds and noise of Parliament Street.
“Seating and furniture on the terrace is to be arranged in such a way to discourage the gathering of large groups and to ensure this is remains a quiet space for the use of individual guests.
“This is important to the experience of guests since apartments are accessed
from this central space.”
