A woman arrested in connection with an attack on a man and his dog on Hob Moor in York has been released on bail.
The 51-year-old woman had been arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault and causing unnecessary suffering to an animal, in connection with the incident on the evening of Tuesday (9 June).
She was also detained on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs.
She has now been released on bail, while police enquiries continue.
The attack was caught on video, and widely shared on social media as well as via YorkMix. Since the arrest we have taken down the first post and video.
