If you love tea and cake, York history and a little bit of magic, put this one in your diary.
The Wizard Walk of York tour is launching spellbinding Wizard Afternoon Teas next year.
Families can look forward to a meet-and-greet with the Wizard, followed by a full afternoon tea at the historic Bedern Hall, on Bartle Garth off St Andrewgate.
A cream tea will be available for the adults.
Dan Wood, aka The Wizard of York, says: “I’m excited to be bringing even more magic to this enchanting city.
“Bedern Hall is the perfect venue to meet a wizard then indulge in a spellbinding feast fit for a medieval banquet!”
More details about the afternoon tea will be revealed in the new year – and there will be a few surprises to come.
Earlier this year, the Wizard Walk of York was named as one of the best family-friendly experiences in the world.
“It’s been an exciting year, with awards including Best Tour of York, Best Walking Tour and 3rd Best Family Experience in the World,” Dan said.
“I’ve been running The Wizard Walk for two years now, and am always looking at ways to highlight the magical side of York. I can’t wait to reveal more in 2024.”
There is more excitement to come next year, as the walking tour will also launch a Bird of Prey meet and greet photo experience next year too – where young witches and wizards on the tours can have their photo taken with an owl and an eagle at the end.
