A top chef is to feature in the first live cooking event at a York retailer.
German kitchen retailer Kutchenhaus is staging a live cooking event at its store in Foss Islands Retail Park.
Free to attend, it will run between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, 1 April.
Chef Richard Allen will be cooking live in the show kitchen, with food tasting to follow. After 12 years as executive chef at Harvey Nichols in Leeds, Richard currently works as a freelance chef, working with different clients across the country.
Now he’s bringing his knowledge and expertise to the people of York.
There’ll also be a Q&A with Richard, and with the Kutchenhaus team.
The day, organised by showroom manager Kirk Edmondson, will also include champagne and canapés
Visitors will “take a great deal away from the event”, said a Kutchenhaus spokesperson, with the demonstration giving them a chance to “learn new cooking skills, discover new recipes and how to discover taste in their own home”.
Kutchenhaus York is the brand’s flagship showroom and has been open since 2008. The cooking event is done in partnership with AEG.
