Harry Potter concert is coming to York this Christmas – complete with a Weasley!
There’s not much better pairings than Harry Potter and Christmas.
And a spellbinding show is coming to York soon…
The Magical Music of Harry Potter: Live in Concert with the Weasleys will be at York Barbican on Monday 13 December 2021 at 7:30pm.
The unique concert will bring the magical music of Harry Potter to life with star soloists, a choir and the London Symphonic and Philharmonic Orchestra.
The event will also feature original actors – including Percy Weasley’s actor Chris Rankin.

YorkMix Radio breakfast presenters Ben and Laura spoke with Chris to find out more.
“Technically [Harry Potter] is not a Christmas film,” said Chris. “It feels like it is because it’s magical.”
“It’s a nice big warm hug.”
Chris will be hosting The Magical Music of Harry Potter, as well as teasing a performance…
“That’s a secret I’ll have to keep for the show,” Chris said. “There’s performance elements to it.
“I’ll be doing a little bit with the orchestra for the show as well – which I’m very excited about and I can’t wait for you to see it!”
This year will be 20 years since Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone film was released.
“It’s wonderful that 20 years after the first film came out, it still means so much to people,” Chris said.
“I can’t wait to get to York – it’s one of my favourite places!”
Tickets for The Magical Music of Harry Potter start at £39 and can be purchased via the York Barbican website.
