North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) are promising a spooky and magical October half term – with a line-up of free activities for families.
For all of half term (Saturday 26 October to Sunday 3 November) the award-winning heritage railway is inviting families to create Halloween memories with their programme of spooktacular fun – where kids (aged 0-15 years) travel free!
Visit the stations along the Pickering to Whitby line for thrilling activities for the whole family.
The activities include Spooky Station Stories, a spooky story competition where you can let your imagination run wild as you uncover the haunting histories of Pickering and Grosmont Stations.
There’s plenty of fun for budding sorcerers, like wand making, potion classes and mini-broomstick craft. Do you think you know your ‘eye of newt’ from your frog’s leg?
Hoglets Theatre will bring to life the mysteries of the Moors to life with enchanting storytelling sessions.
To find the full details about each activity, please visit the NYMR website.
With Kids Go Free, your little ones can enjoy wand-making, spooky storytelling, and Halloween crafts, while adults can take advantage of the NYMR’s Adult All Day, All Line Rover Ticket (£49.50) – which offers 12 months of return travel for free, giving you unlimited access to the railway for a whole year.
