After 15 months of relentless campaigning by skateboarders, Norton Town Council have voted and approved the refurb of the huge half pipe ramp.
The news follows on from the reopening of the Norton and Malton Skatepark this month.
Campaigner Ryan Swain said: “Thank you to everyone who attended the meeting and showed their support tonight (Monday 16 May) and have stood by us this since it began.
“Now the hard work begins and I’m ready to finish this once and for all for the community and beyond.”
Norton Town Councillor Di Keal added that they just needed to pull together a funding package now
