There have been major problems on the York ring road today (Tuesday).
Drivers have been stuck in traffic on the A64 stretch of the road between Copmanthorpe and the Fulford Interchange.
One driver told YorkMix that they had not moved for more than half an hour.
The problem is on the eastbound carriageway due to a lane closure, and has been caused by overrunning roadworks.
The AA said there were severe delays on that stretch of road.
The lane closure between Askham Bar and Fulford Interchange was to repair the road following a collision on the road yesterday.
Today York Travel said on X: “Works still ongoing A64 Eastbound (1 lane open), Tadcaster Rd and Bishopthorpe Rd inbound very busy.”
