A teenage girl was injured after being hit by a car – which then drove off.
It happened at about 8.30am on Friday (12 April) on Langton Road in Norton.
The girl, 15, was crossing the road between the church and Norton Primary School when she was struck by a small black Ford, believed to be either a Fiesta or Ka.

The girl needed hospital treatment for her injuries, which were thankfully described as minor.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The vehicle did not stop at the scene and we’re now appealing to the driver to come forward and contact us.
“Our officers are also appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident or who has dashcam footage who has not made contact to also come forward.”
