A man grabbed and sexually assaulted a child as she walked along a main York road.
The attack happened after the man approached the 13-year-old girl, tried to talk to her and asked her to come back to his house.
She tried to walk away from him. He then grabbed her by the arm and on the chest.

The girl then ran away towards a bus stop. This occurred just past The Fox on Holgate Road as it leads on to Poppleton Road.
The incident has just been reported to police. It is believed to have happened on either Thursday 9 September or Thursday 16 September at some time between 6pm and 8pm.
The perpetrator is described as
- a white male
- with brown hair
- and a stubbly beard.
He had a beanie type hat on and was wearing a black ripped coat with writing on, Adidas tracksuit bottoms that possibly had a paint stain on them, and old shoes.
