YorkMix Radio are at the Hole in Wand on Coppergate until 1pm today – offering a free hot chocolate when you make a donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
It’s all in support of Hot Chocolate Day, a day organised by Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA) to help raise vital funds to help keep the charity flying high. It costs £12,000 a day to keep the YAA running.

“It’s really important to raise as much money as we can,” said Victoria.
“If you want to find out a bit more about how you can get involved with fundraising then just come down and see us, we’re here until 1pm!”
Raising vital funds
“It’s a way for individuals, companies and organisations to come on board,” said Kevin Hutchinson from the YAA. “As well as having fun and having a hot chocolate it’s raising funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.”
With people holding hot chocolate days all across North Yorkshire, there are multiple ways to get involved.
“Hot Chocolate Day doesn’t have to be done on the day we choose,” added Kevin. “It can be done whichever day is best for you.
