An investigation has been launched after a gang of youths damaged a building belonging to a much-loved York charity.
Police say youths targeted the St Leonard’s Hospice Shop on York Road in Acomb.
They are urging anyone who knows the perpetrators to get in touch.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “We have been provided with evidence suggesting that between Tuesday 13 May 2025 to Thursday 15 May 2025, St Leonard’s Hospice in Acomb was targeted by a group of youths, who climbed over the gate and caused damage to the gutters and fences.
“If you think that you may know those involved, or you were there when it happened, we would like to hear from you.”
