A gang of women assaulted a lone woman on a busy York street in broad daylight.
The incident happened on Foss Islands Road at about 6.30pm on Sunday (3 July).
The women also attempted to steal the keys and phone belonging to the victim, aged 20.
The victim sustained minor injuries.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Police are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“In particular, officers are appealing for anyone who may have dashcam footage that was in the area at the time of the incident.”
