The third annual Millie Wright Children’s Charity Family Fun was a huge success this weekend.
The Run For Millie took place on Saturday 18 May in glorious sunshine, and helped to celebrate what would have been Millie’s 16th birthday.
It was a fantastic turn out with runners of all ages, with many people dressing up – including some fabulous Toy Story inspired costumes!
The Millie Wright Children’s Charity was established in 2022 by Ceri and Nigel Wright, in memory of their daughter Millie, and aims to address the inequalities in hands-on charitable support for families of children with life threatening conditions.
YorkMix and Mixie the Monster were there hosting the event, and cheering participants on from the finish line.
Charity patron and Olympic gymnast and Commonwealth champion Nile Wilson was also there taking part, as well as York City mascot Yorkie the Lion!
It was a fantastic day of fundraising for an extremely worth cause. Find out more about the work the Millie Wright Children’s Charity does at their website.
