Never let it be said that York isn’t game for a laugh. Dozens of people lined up on Knavesmire to take part in ridiculous games, get covered in foam and generally be very silly.
In what must have been the biggest It’s A Knockout yet, teams took part in four games sessions from mid morning to early evening all in aid of St Leonard’s Hospice.
Everyone entered into the spirit of this fun family day. In glorious warm sunshine on the last day in August, the participants were cheered on by big crowds.
