Detectives in York have made two more arrests in connection with the discovery of a large amount of uncut heroin in a car that was stopped by roads policing officers.
The blue VW Golf car was pulled over on the A64 at Fulford at 5.20pm on Monday (16 September 2013) after the officers noticed that the windscreen was cracked.
Three people, two men aged 23 and 26, and a 22-year-old woman who are all from Sheffield, were arrested and the car was seized. They were released on conditional police bail pending further enquiries.
A 28-year-old man and a 23-year-old woman, both from York, were arrested on Tuesday (17 September) afternoon in connection with the investigation. Following questioning they were released on bail.
