A fundraising campaign has been set up to help the family of the York man who was murdered on Saturday.
Greg Marshall was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital having been stabbed on the Bell Farm Estate in the early hours of the morning.
He was only 35.
He leaves a wife, Michelle, and young children including a baby girl.
Kristal Adamson has set up a GoFundMe page to help the family.
She wrote: “It is with a heavy heart that we are having to write this message to inform everyone about our warrior Greg Marshall.
“Greg became a victim of a knife attack which resulted in him losing his life on 17 August 2024.

“Please can I ask all friends and family to find it in your hearts for us to raise some funds to help Michelle, Greg’s wife, to help her pay for his funeral costs.
“Any funds left over will go towards Greg’s wife and children to help her financially with the children.”
At the time of writing, it had already raised more than £1,800 towards a target of £7,000.
Kristal also revealed the couple were due to go on their honeymoon soon.
“Greg and Michelle were due to go on their honeymoon next month,” she wrote, “and we hope that we can raise the funds so we can lay him to rest before their honeymoon date.”
Detectives have charged a 33-year-old York man with murder and possession of bladed article.
