A new restaurant coming to York is hoping to ‘ignite your taste buds with an explosion of fresh flavour and excitement’.
And they are giving away free food to spread the word.
As YorkMix previously reported, Slim Chickens is due to open at York Designer Outlet on Friday, 22 September.
And the first 30 lucky diners in line will be treated to Slim Chickens’ hand-breaded chicken tenders, absolutely free of charge.
Slim Chickens specialises in Southern US-inspired dishes such as buttermilk chicken tenders and buffalo wings, plus 15 dipping sauces to choose from.
The menu also features a selection of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and sides, and includes vegetarian options.
Served until 11am, breakfast includes buttermilk chicken tenders, with smoked cheddar cheese, and a fried egg in Texas toast.
Slim Chickens had already opened in Manchester, London and Birmingham before moving into the Designer Outlet at Naburn. That branch comes with 56 covers, with takeaway available.
Thirty jobs are being created.
Richard Pigott, operations director of Slim Chickens, said, “York is a prime destination for us, and we are thrilled to keep growing our partnership with the McArthurGlen outlets.
“We simply can’t contain our excitement as we prepare to unlock the doors to York.”
It will open on weekdays from 9.30am to 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 8pm and Sundays 9.30am to 6pm. More on the website.
