NHS flu vaccinations are now available, free, to everyone aged 50 and over.
As well as the mass vaccination site at Askham Bar, one group of pharmacies is operating Covid-safe flu clinics around the city this weekend.
Citywide Health, York’s independent pharmacy group, are opening seven community clinics specifically to provide flu jabs on today and over the weekend.
The clinics are being held in
- Strensall
- The Groves
- Tang Hall
- Clementhorpe
- Huntington
- Foxwood
- and Wiggington.
There is no appointment required, but people must register at www.citywidehealth.co.uk/flu and fill in a form to secure their vaccination.
Registration opens today and will be offered on a first come, first served basis.
The clinics
People attending clinics must wear a mask, and any one with coronavirus symptoms, or who has been in contact with someone with coronavirus in the last 14 days must not attend.
Coronavirus symptoms include: a high temperature, a new & continuous cough, or a loss or change of taste or smell.
