Firefighters cut four people from the wreckage of a crash near Northallerton earlier today (Tuesday).
Crews from Thirsk and Northallerton responded to the incident at Little Langton at 8.39am.
Two vehicles had collided, leaving four people trapped.
Little Langton
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews used hydraulic cutters, spreaders, a sharps kit, stabilisation gear, a reciprocating saw and other small tools to release the persons from the vehicle.
“Occupants were released and transported to hospital via the ambulance service with minor injuries and a a male was transported to hospital with serious head injuries.”
Later the same morning, emergency services were called to another two-vehicle collision, in Pickering.
This happened at 10.32pm. “All persons were out of the vehicle on arrival and were uninjured,” the spokesperson said.
“The crew used small tools to disconnect the battery of one of the vehicles to ensure scene safety as well as moving both vehicles off the roadway.
“The crew went on to carry out traffic control until the arrival of police.”
