Four people have been arrested this morning (August 15) after a man was seriously injured in York.
Police were called at 11.15pm on Friday (August 12) to reports of a badly injured man in Burnholme Drive, York.
The man, aged in his forties, had been assaulted and sustained serious head injuries. He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary.
Two men aged 21 and 30 from the York area, and a 28-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman both from the Malton area, were arrested in connection with the incident.
All four remain in custody while enquiries continue.
