The four people who were arrested in the grounds of Rishi Sunak’s North Yorkshire home have been released on bail.
As YorkMix reported yesterday, police went to the Prime Minister’s estate in Kirby Sigston, near Northallerton, at 12.40pm, within one minute of the intruders entering the grounds.
Four men were arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass.
Later, a video was released by protest group Youth Demand showing a young man entering the Prime Minister’s property and appearing to defecate in a lake.
The group said the action was a “parting gift” for the Prime Minister and the Conservative government.
The men – aged 52 from London, 43 from Bolton, 21 from Manchester, and 20 from Chichester – were taken into police custody.
Today (Wednesday) North Yorkshire Police released this update: “Four men who were arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass in the grounds of the Prime Minister’s constituency home in Kirby Sigston on Tuesday 25 June have been released on conditional police bail to allow for further enquiries.
“The investigation remains ongoing.”
