Four fire crews tackled a blaze at a York house on Thursday (December 29).
Firefighters from Huntington, York, Acomb and Selby were called out to the fire in the loft of a detached house on Saddlers Close, Huntington at 6.15pm.
Crew used breathing apparatus and hose reels to extinguish the fire. The family were safely evacuated from their home.
The fire caused severe damage to the loft and roof and smoke damage to the rest of property.
The cause of fire is yet to be determined.
