Four drivers fined in York police operation following residents’ complaints
Four drivers were fined by police during an operation in York.
On Thursday (2 February), the York West Neighbourhood Policing Team were joined by roads policing officers at vehicle check points on Tadcaster Road and Foxwood Lane.
A North Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “The checks were planned due to concerns raised at local residents meetings.
“They resulted in three tickets being given for drivers not wearing seatbelts and one ticket for using a mobile phone while driving.
“No tickets were given for speeding.”
