Police are continuing the fight against the illegal drugs trade across the county, with more arrests in York.
This follows the arrest of four people from York on suspicion of possessing a class B drug with intent to supply, following the seizure of cannabis in the city,
A 37-year-old man and a man aged 22, were stopped by officers from the Regional Roads Crime Team, while driving along Osbaldwick Lane, at 12.50pm on Monday 1 July 2013, and officers recovered a large amount of cannabis from the vehicle.
The 37-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed weapon in a public place and the 22-year-old was arrested for driving without insurance.
Following police enquires, officers carried out a search at a property on Tuke Avenue and recovered another quantity of cannabis. A man aged 40 was arrested at 4.55pm on Monday 1 July 2013, on suspicion on possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, and a 41-year-old woman was arrested at 8pm, later the same day, on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.
All four people have now been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

When they are caught, offenders can expect to be dealt with robustly, and to be put before the courts.
