Food lovers and festival-goers, take note – as Visit Malton has confirmed the dates for its flagship events in 2025.
Some of North Yorkshire’s most delicious events are back! Don’t miss the Malton Food Lovers Festival (Saturday 24 to Monday 26 May), the Malton 10k (Sunday 21 September) and the Malton Christmas Festival (Saturday 6 to Sunday 7 December).
These events, alongside Malton’s monthly markets, help cement the town’s reputation as a bustling hub for food, crafts, and community.
“Malton has always been a town shaped by its market square, and today, it remains a thriving centre for traditional skills and local produce,” said Mark Brayshaw, who heads up Visit Malton, a community interest company.
“While many towns have seen their food markets decline, ours continues to flourish – bringing together producers, chefs, and food lovers for an unforgettable experience.”
The Malton Food Lovers Festival, or its nickname ‘Yorkshire’s Foodie Glastonbury’, features around 120 stalls selling stalls selling everything from fresh seafood and artisan cheeses to handcrafted pasta, sauces, and patisserie.
Visitors can also enjoy a packed schedule of free chef demonstrations, meet-the-author talks, and hands-on food experiences.

Later in the year visitors can run, feast, and have fun at the Malton 10K. Part race, part food festival, the Malton 10k is unlike any other running event. Set in both the town and the surrounding countryside, this one-of-a-kind race offers three ways to take part:
- The Competitive 10K Race – For serious runners who want to hit their PB.
- The Foodie Fun Run – A more relaxed 10K with food and drink stalls along the route, offering delicious bites and local tipples.
- L’Escargot Walk – A leisurely, social walk through the course, stopping to chat with producers and sample treats along the way.
To close the 2025 calendar year will be the magical Malton Christmas Festival. After last year’s unfortunate cancellation due to severe weather, organisers are excited for it to return in all its glory.
With a backdrop of brass bands, choirs, and twinkling lights, visitors can browse a charming array of festive stalls and shops in the town for unique gifts, seasonal treats, and handcrafted delights.
