Firefighters were called to a student accommodation block last night (Sunday).
They responded to an alarm on Brinkworth Terrace, off James Street in York at 7.48pm.
That is home to the rear of the Samuel Tuke Apartments, run by Hello Student.

A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “York and Acomb crews responded to a report of burning within student accommodation, which was a false alarm due the premises recently suffering flooding which affected the electrics.
“Fire crews confirmed the electrics were isolated and gave advice for occupants to contact maintenance.”
