Get ready for a flipping great time – as the iconic Bedern Hall Pancake Race is returning.
And they’re inviting all their neighbours to take part!
Last seen in York in 2019, the revived Pancake Race will once again see competitors battle on Bartlegarth for the chance to win the coveted Golden Frying Pan Award.
The race will take place on Tuesday 21 February – aka Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day – with runners assembling at 9:50am outside Bedern Hall for a 10am start.
Bedern Hall will supply the pans and pancakes.
The race is open to businesses in Goodramgate, however anyone is welcome to come down to cheer the runners on.
As well as having a bit of fun, the race aims to “promote the Hall and the great mix of independent businesses we have in the area.”
