Is there much better in life than a roast dinner with all the trimmings?

We don’t think so. And with Roast Dinner Day falling this week (November 14), it is the perfect excuse to eat our body weight in crispy roast potatoes and gravy.

Pear Tree Farm serves Sunday lunches as a carvery. There’s an extensive kids selection and an impressive Golden Years menu. With vegetarian options and prices starting at £4.99 for a small carvery, it’s a good family option.

One reviewer described the Sunday roast at Kennedy’s as “amazing” and that really speaks for itself. Tucked round the corner from bustling Stonegate, this is a good spot for a Sunday lunch in the centre of York.

It claims to offer “the best roast beef in York”, and the Trip Advisor reviews certainly rate its roasts highly. Offering a traditional warm and cosy pub welcome, the Hole In The Wall is just round the corner from the Minster, and its Sunday roast clocks in at £9.50.
