Spring is starting in Malton next month with a series of original music concerts.
Five top class musicians are coming to the Milton Rooms in Malton to kick off Spring on a tuneful note.
With genres like folk, blues, Americana, and rock on offer, there’ll be something for everyone to enjoy.
Take a look at what’s coming up below…
- Greg Brice 7 March. His intricate fingerstyle guitar playing and the quality of his songwriting is capturing people’s imagination on the UK Blues scene. Tickets £10.
- Edwina Hayes 9 March. She is one of the finest female singer/songwriters this country has produced in years and brings together English folk, Americana and the rich Northern singer/songwriter tradition to create a sound that is truly her own. Tickets £15.
- James ‘Jay’ Lewis 21 March. A self-taught multi-instrumentalist, he has graced some of the biggest stages across the globe performing in The La’s, playing bass for the band Cast and currently as the lead guitarist in The Zutons. Tickets £15.
- Lynne Hanson 30 March. Her deep, bluesy croon has drawn comparisons with Lucinda Williams and Gillian Welch, but it’s the poetry of her lyrics that really sets her apart. She is known for her high energy, roots guitar-driven live performances. Tickets £20.
- Ben Reel 9 May. Ben’s 2025 UK tour rolls into Malton. Since his debut album back in 1999, Ben has reinvented himself from album to album, influenced by different styles of music over the years. He has been described as the Irish Springsteen and comparisons have been made about his voice sounding like the ghost of Roy Orbison, but Ben is very much his own man. Tickets £15.
