A brand new Christmas experience is coming to York this year.
Described as a ‘first-of-its-kind’ interactive event, the Father Christmas’ Magical School of Wishes will take place in Shambles.
It will feature “magical classes, interactive characters, and a unique meet and greet with Father Christmas”.
“Follow the twists and turns of the ancient and most magical street in York, and eventually, if you’re lucky, you’ll find the entrance to the prestigious School for Elves,” say organisers Sneaky Experience.
“This is a once in a lifetime chance for your child to be inducted as an honorary Elf at Father Christmas’s special School for Elves.”
Although tickets only went on sale this week, the company has seen “overwhelming demand”, it says, with some time slots already now fully booked.
The event invites children and adults alike to embark on an “unforgettable journey” featuring “engaging storytelling, mesmerising sets, and lots of photo opportunities”.
Children will also receive a special ethical gift from Father Christmas.
It will run from 16 to 23 December. Prices start at £26.50 per person.
Founder of Sneaky Experience Julia Benfied said: “We are thrilled to introduce our latest creation, Father Christmas’ Magical School of Wishes, to the beautiful city of York.
“This event combines the magic of Christmas with the immersive storytelling and interactive elements that Sneaky Experience is known for.
“We wanted to create an enchanting experience that truly brings the joy and wonder of the holiday season to life for families.”
She said they had assembled “a team of talented performers, craftsmen, and designers who will meticulously bring the whimsical world of Father Christmas’ Magical School of Wishes to life”.
