You may not believe it, but you can now get a space to run your business in the heart of York, on the famous Coney Street, from £85 per month.
That includes the electricity bill too!
YorkMix has been looking around the workspaces on the first floor of Fabrication, which used to be home to River Island.

Candle maker, Wendy Harris, is one of the sellers at Fabrication and is also the manager of the upstairs work space.
Fabrication is a social enterprise that supports local artists and makers in Leeds and York.
Their stockists contribute to rent and work in the shop. In return they help with their business development, mentor and of course sales.
There are new work spaces available to rent now and they cost from £85 pcm to £400 pcm.

Wendy told YorkMix: “It’s a co-working space. We’ve got three businesses up here at the moment, but we’ve got more space ready to rent and available to go now.
“We run workshops, classes for exhibition space, we’ve got the new photography studio, hot desk working, community meeting areas.”
One of those businesses is And Able, the stylish clothing line designed for those undergoing treatment. Little Sister Millinery, which features hats and perchers for vintage weekenders or the daily commute, is also there along with Wendy’s own business, PQ Soy Wax Candles.
Wendy described the space like this: “it’s lovely, light and airy. We’ve got pods that people can rent out at different prices, they are adaptable.
“So if people want bigger or smaller spaces, we can do that and various businesses can work up here together.
“I was working from home like so many small businesses, but it’s so nice now to be able to actually come to work and leave domestic life at home and come and focus on my business.”

If you would like to rent space at Fabrication in Coney Street then why not pop along and introduce yourself to Wendy and have at what is on offer.
Rent includes electricity and kitchen access.
