York has a brand new shop – and it’s putting smiles on faces young and old.
The Entertainer has already opened its doors, ahead of its advertised Grand Opening Party this coming Saturday (December 15).
Found in the former home to Currys on Coney Street, its 3,100 square foot of space is packed from floor to ceiling with toys.
The age range goes from the tiniest tots who will love their Tiddlytubbies, to older boys and girls into science kits, racing cars and lots of Lego.
It’s first window display features a cut-out nativity scene, with the message: “The Entertainer wishes each of you a Happy Christmas.
“Pictured here in The First Nativity we remember the reason for the season – the birth of Jesus.”
According to The Entertainer Facebook post, if you are one of the first 50 people through the York store doors at 9am on Saturday for the Grand Opening Party, you will be able to claim a free goodie bag.
It is open from 8.30am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. The shop is closed on Sundays “so staff can spend time with their friends and family”.
