Another York primary school reported its first case of Covid-19 today (Friday).
Three staff and 29 children at Hob Moor Community Primary Academy have been sent home to self-isolate following a confirmed coronavirus case there.
It is the first known case at the Acomb school. The children affected are all in Year 4.
They will return to school after the half-term holiday, on 2 November.
Meanwhile, more cases have been reported at a large secondary school in the city.
Altogether four cases have been confirmed at Huntington School – one in Year 13, two in Year 11 and one in Year 10.
Those Year 13 students who have been self-isolating, and some of the Year 11s, will be back in school next week.
