Fire crews braved strong winds and took to the roof of a city centre office today.
A crew from Huntington was called out at 3.37pm after a large piece of lead from the ridge of the roof came loose on the building at the corner of Peckitt Street and Tower Street.
It was hanging over the side of the building, and there were fears it might fall and injure someone on the pavement three floors below.
Dislodged by Storm Ciara, the roof fitting is above the office of Richardson Gildener solicitors.
Working on high via the aerial ladder platform, two firefighters used small tools to bend it back into position and make the roof safe again.
