Firefighters from York and Acomb were called to a fire at a home in the city yesterday (Monday),
They were called to Fossway, York at 5.24pm.
Everyone inside the building were safely out when crews arrived. Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters went inside and located a fire in a cooker.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and cleared smoke from the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
“Crews also used a thermal image camera to check for any hot spots. Smoke alarms fitted and advice given.”
