A Selby fire crew responded to reports of a fire on Brayton Lane, Selby, yesterday evening (Wednesday).
Firefighters arrived at the scene at approximately 6:56 pm, to find a fire involving general waste, covering an area of around two square metres.
The fire is believed to have been started deliberatey. North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue have informed the police.
A spokesperson from the force said: “Crews used a knapsack sprayer to extinguish.”
