Emergency services were called to a blaze that spread from a brazier to a house in York yesterday evening (Friday).
Fire crews from York, Acomb and Huntington responded to the incident, which began at the rear of a property in Huntington at 8:11 pm.
The fire started in a brazier, before spreading to a fence and a household bin, eventually reaching the home’s guttering and windows.
Firefighters used hose reel jets to extinguish the flames and thermal imaging cameras to check for any fire spread in the roof space.
They then used a positive pressure ventilation fan to ventilate the property.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue spokesperson said: “The scene was then left with Police who were also in attendance.”
