Several fire crews have been battling a blaze in a derelict Scarborough hotel this morning (Thursday).
Crews from Scarborough, Filey and Robin Hood’s Bay were called to the property on Belmont Road at 2.51am.
They found the fire was on multiple levels of the former hotel.

Firefighters used three hose reel jets on the fire. The aerial platform is also in use as a water tower.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Firefighting continuing with firefighters wearing breathing apparatus now committed internally.”
Police, Northern Powergrid and Transco are also at the scene.
The hotel is believed to have been closed for some time.
