Firefighters rescue trapped cat in York

York firefighters have come to the rescue of a trapped cat.

The eight-month-old cat fell behind some new kitchen units at a property on Hempland Lane – and got stuck.

A call was put into the fire service at 8.53pm on Tuesday night (October 30) and an officer went round to investigate.

The officer used small tools to remove the facia board and release the cat into the hands of its owner.

A pretty purrfect ending.
