A woman was taken to hospital after being rescued from a railway track in North Yorkshire today (Saturday).
Emergency services were called to Belmont Street, Skipton at 2.55pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “A crew from Skipton responded to a elderly female who had fallen onto the buffer section of a train track.
“Crews used small tools to remove a fence to gain access and assist the casualty to safety.
“Crews administered first aid before leaving the casualty in the care of staff who arranged transport to hospital.”
