A woman had to be cut from her car after a crash on Hull Road in York today (Monday).
The accident happened at its junction with Melrosegate at about midday.
It involved an Uber and a Vauxhall 4×4.

North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service sent crews from York and Acomb to the scene.
Crews used hydraulic cutting gear to release a woman from one of the cars. The woman, said to be in her 50s, was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The crash blocked the junction for some time. Buses had to be diverted.
