This was all that was left of a utility room after fire broke out in a house in the Selby district.
Firefighters from Selby were joined by their West Yorkshire counterparts in Pontefract to tackle the blaze at Whitley south of Selby.
They were called out at 7.48am yesterday to a report of a kitchen fire.

The fire started in a bin and spread to white goods in the utility room. Firefighters put out the fire and removed the affected appliances.
Station Manager Tony Walker said they had done a “Brilliant job stopping the fire spreading through the house”.
He added the cause is now under investigation, with no injuries reported.
