Fire crews helped a teenage girl who had been injured after a horse riding accident last night (Monday).
It happened after she had driven herself to the New Selby War Memorial Hospital on Doncaster Road in Selby at 8.52pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Crews from Selby used small tools to remove a car seat, to allow paramedics access to a female, aged 17, who was unable to remove herself from the vehicle.
“The female had fallen from her horse earlier in the day, and drove herself to hospital, in which time she developed back and neck pain.”
She was taken to York Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
